Baker University Center to host Study Abroad Fair Monday

Published: Friday, October 5, 2007

ATHENS — Students looking for an alternative to college life in Athens — or the United States for that matter — may find what they are looking for at the Study Abroad Fair. The Office of Education Abroad will host its 19th annual Study Abroad Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday in the Baker Center Ballroom. More than 50 exhibits will be on display at the fair, representing many different study, work, intern and volunteer programs. Students wanting to go abroad can choose from more than 30 different countries, such as England, Ghana and Japan through programs with OU and other third-party providers. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with representatives from other programs involving studying abroad, including the Peace Corps, Financial Aid and passport services from the Athens Clerk of Courts. Free cinch bags will be given out to students throughout the day. The event is free and open to all students.
