Athens Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3477, 355 E. State St., reported approximately $8,000 in cash missing Saturday morning, according to an Athens Police Department report.
VFW employee Jason French found the post was burglarized when he came to work at 7:55 a.m. Athens police responded by 8:12 a.m., according to the report.
The case is still under investigation.
