On most days, the laundry list of tasks that Scott Blower spends his entire 45-mile drive compiling is completely worthless.

Unexpected events in The Convo, a lacrosse camp that no one bothered to tell him about or even a brief rain shower can throw the Ohio University grounds supervisor’s day into chaos.

Ohio’s Zach Hartle makes the catch and the out as Miami’s Tommy Nurre slides for the base on May 9. Many Bobcats will continue to play baseball by choosing to participate in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League during the upcoming offseason.

Ohio performed well in the annual Academic Progress Rate (APR) report,

which is conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and

measures the eligibility and retention rate of student-athletes.

Softball: Bobcats runner-up in MAC Championship

Ohio ended their season with a 5-0 loss to Kent State in the MAC Tournament Championship game yesterday at Firestone Field.

Keen’s grand slam tied the game at 5-5 and junior Marc Krauss hit a home run with a man on first to put the Bobcats on top 7-5. The Bobcats swept all three games against Miami this weekend with scores of 6-5, 16-11 and 7-5.

Ohio swept Miami in three games on Saturday (6-5, 16-11, 7-5) after play was suspended on Friday because of rain. The Bobcats moved into third place in the MAC East standings.

Julia Weisenborn, a junior at Ohio University, ran a distance event in the Green and White Invite May 3. The Bobcats hosted the Ohio Open this weekend and won each of the 15 events.
