With a 26-over par team score of 586, the Ohio men’s golf team is tied for ninth place after two rounds of the Yestingsmeier Invitational.
Sophomore Stewart Jamieson, making his first start of the season, leads the Bobcats individually after shooting a 1-over 141 on the first day. His 66 in the second round was the lowest Ohio score in the first two rounds. Jamieson currently stands tied for ninth among individuals.
Senior Mark Phillips and sophomore Chad Warmbein are tied for 49th after they both shot 9-over 149s. Mark Reinhold is a stroke behind with a 150.
Tim Gusweiler, also making his first start of the season, shot a 12-over 152, putting him in a tie for 63rd place.
As a team, the Bobcats are tied with Dayton and George Washington. They trail eighth-placed Austin Peay by two strokes.
Mid-American Conference opponents Toledo, Bowling Green and Ball State are all in the top five after the first day. The Rockets are in the lead with a 559, the Falcons are in fourth with a 570 and the Cardinals are in fifth with a 577.
