Ohio 76-over through two rounds of play

Final round to be played on Monday

The Ohio women’s golf team is 76-over par at the Nittany Lion Invitational after posting a score of 652 through the first two rounds.

The Bobcats put up a score of 326 in each round.

Junior Lindsay Bergman and senior Katie Stafford lead the Bobcats individually after posting scores of 18-over par.

Stafford, who led the Bobcats individually at the Brickyard Fall Invitational, shot a team-best 79 in the second round of play, improving her first round score of 83 by four strokes.

Play will conclude on Monday at Penn State University’s Blue Course in University Park, Pa.

Men’s golf tees it up at Xavier Invitational

The Ohio men’s golf team will head to Cincinnati this week to compete in the Xavier Invitational at the 72-par Oasis Golf Club Course.

The first two rounds will be played Monday and play will conclude on Tuesday. The Bobcats did not participate in the Xavier Invitational last year, but finished seventh out of 16 teams two seasons ago.

Twenty teams will take part in this year’s event, including conference foes Akron, Ball State and Bowling Green.
