The Ohio men’s golf team struggled on the way to a ninth-place finish out of 11 teams this weekend at the Big East/MAC Challenge with a 47-over par score of 911 for the three-round event.
The top Bobcat at the event was sophomore Stewart Jamieson. An 8-over par score of 224 was enough to earn Jamieson a tie for 19th place individually. Another Ohio sophomore, Tim Gusweiler, earned a tie for 29th place with a 12-over par score of 228.
The best Mid-American Conference team at the event was Bowling Green. The Falcons finished third overall with a 17-over par score of 881. Akron, the only other MAC competitor, was disqualified after two golfers had scorecard violations after the
first round.
Marquette, the host of the event, earned first place with a combined score of 2-over par 866 for the
tournament.
With the end of the tournament comes the end of the Bobcats’
fall season.
