For Kari Summers and Annie Beecham, the NCAA National Championships were unlike any race they’ve run in before.

The juniors said the crowd on Monday Nov. 24 in Terre Haute, Ind., was the largest they have ever seen at a cross-country meet and that the quality of the competition was above and beyond any they had raced against.

The Bobcats weren’t picked to do much in the pre-season polls and those predictions turned out to be right.

After losing players like all-time leading rusher Kalvin McRae and current Detroit Lion defensive tackle Landon Cohen, Ohio had a lot of questions to answer. As the season progressed, injuries and heart-wrenching losses proved to be too much for the team to handle.
