Free Online Classifieds

Online classifieds are offered for free by The Post to all users of this Web site. Free classifieds run on the Web site for a period of 1 day starting at midnight the day after a classified is posted until 11:59PM that same day. The Post reserves all rights to free classifieds, including the right to remove or reprint the classifieds.

Online classifieds do not appear in the print edition of The Post and do not appear on the main classifieds page. Tto have classifieds published in the print edition, please see the below Premium section.

The Post does not inspect or regulate free online classifieds. If you believe a classified to be inappropriate, please use the link in the classified's header to notify The Post. Notification does not guarantee action against a classified by The Post.

Premium/Print Classifieds

The Post offers larger and more prominent classifieds as well as printing in the daily print edition for a small fee.

Premium classifieds may be obtained at the front desk of The Post at 1 Park Place, Baker University Center, Room 325, Athens, OH 45701.

Premium classifieds cost $3 for 10 words for students, and $3.75 for businesses. Each additional word is $.10 per word. Lost and found classifieds are free daily, space permitting.

The Post will not print advertisements that violate local, state or federal laws.

All advertisements must display good taste. The Post reserves the right to refuse any advertisement. If questions arise, the editor will make the final decision.

The Post will not run real estate or employment advertisements that descriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, sexual orientation or national origin. All advertisements are subject to the Federal Fair Housing Act.

Phone numbers will not be printed in the Personals section.

If errors are found in a classified, please notify The Post by 4 p.m. on the day the ad runs. While The Post cannot be responsible for errors, a corrected ad will run free of charge on the next publication date. Cash refunds will not be given.

Notify The Post by 4 p.m. of cancellations for the following day.

Classifieds cannot be taken over the telephone. Ads are not accepted after 4 p.m. The Post reception office is located on the third floor of Baker Center.
